Eastern Business Education Association (EBEA)
 
EBEA is comprised of the following states, territories, and provinces: Bermuda, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Brunswick, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Prince Edward Island, Puerto Rico, Quebec, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virgin Islands.
 

Southern Business Education Association (SBEA)
 
SBEA is comprised of the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
 

North Central Business Education Association (NCBEA)
 
NCBEA is comprised of the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
 

Mountain-Plain Business Education
Association (M-PBEA)
 
M-PBEA is comprised of the following states and provinces: Colorado, Kansas, Manitoba, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Saskatchewan, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming.
 

Western Business and Information
Technology Educators (WBITE)
 
WBITE is comprised of the following states, territories, and provinces: Alaska, Alberta, American Samoa, Arizona, British Columbia, California, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Northern Marianas Islands, Northwest Territories, Oregon, Utah, Yukon, and Washington.
 

U.S. Chapter of the International Society
for Business Education (ISBE)
 
The United States Chapter of the International Society for Business Education (ISBE) is the international division and liaison for NBEA regarding international affairs related to business education. Its purpose is to promote international business education among member nations through improved international educational exchange, cooperative efforts, and unified goals and objectives.
 
The goal of ISBE is to provide educational and business training, opportunities, and programs for its members. Business representatives and educators benefit from affiliation with ISBE through the following objectives and membership privileges:
  • Focusing on international topics with opportunities to participate at the local, state, regional, and national levels.
  • Networking with business and educational leaders from four continents and attending the ISBE/SIEC annual conference at an international site.
  • Interacting, visiting, observing, and exchanging educational strategies and operations with progressive multinational corporate and educational leaders.
  • Pioneering database resources and disseminating knowledge via telecommunications including international research and training materials for the academic and corporate worldwide classrooms and chambers of commerce.
  • Enhancing, updating, and assessing new developments in the fields of intercultural, cross-cultural, multicultural, and culturally diverse academic and corporate arenas.
  • Receiving semi-annual SIEC Review and ISBE newsletters.
  • Providing opportunities for individuals to advance and prepare themselves and others for the 21st century.
  • Serving as business ambassadors of goodwill from the United States.
Membership in ISBE requires an additional investment of only $30 for NBEA members -- an investment that will open new doors to international involvement and friendships. The ISBE NETWORK, International Review for Business Education, annual international SIEC conference, annual meetings held during the NBEA Annual Convention, and opportunities for international exchange are additional benefits of joining ISBE.
 

National Association for Business
Teacher Education (NABTE)
 
The National Association for Business Teacher Education (NABTE) is the institutional division of NBEA. Its primary purpose is to promote business teacher education by providing national leadership and services to its member institutions and business teacher educators. Membership is open only to such colleges and universities that offer business teacher education curriculums approved by their respective State Departments of Education for the certification of business teachers. NABTE Institutional Representatives must be current professional members of NBEA.
 
The objective of NABTE is:
  • To improve undergraduate and graduate programs preparing business teachers.
  • To help develop high standards for business teacher certification.
  • To stimulate research in business education and assist in disseminating and implementing research results.
  • To promote a better understanding of the significance of business and economic programs in schools.
  • To assist in the recruitment of potential business teachers and the placement of qualified business teachers.
  • To cooperate and work actively with other associations to improve educational opportunities for all.
NABTE dues are $150 annually. Member institutions participate in the annual NBEA Award of Merit program that honors an outstanding graduating senior at its school with a certificate, recognition in the Business Education Forum, and a one-year professional membership. The NABTE institution receives the following NBEA publications each year: four issues of Business Education Forum, four issues of Keying In, the NBEA Yearbook, three copies of the NABTE Review, and other timely publications.
