Join us as NBEA returns to the Lone Star State and the beautiful San Antonio Riverwalk for its Annual Convention, which will be held at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter and Riverwalk Hotels, March 18-22.

Innovative Programs and Events.  Members of the General Convention Committee and Convention Program Committee have created a program with more than 40 educational sessions that meet the varied and common goals of business educators, 20 computer workshops to expand specific skills and introduce additional technology, and three general sessions where prominent speakers will be featured. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn, network, and sightsee in San Antonio.

Some of the concurrent session topics include: "Everything Google," strategies for integrating emerging technology, business ethics, instructional and personal use of "You Tube," creative teaching strategies, entrepreneurship, student transitioning from secondary to postsecondary education, preparing for careers in a changing business environment, generational learning, business etiquette, use of game technologies for strategic thinking, online course delivery, e-commerce, motivating teachers and students, building partnerships between business education and the community, identity theft, business communication, using web technologies in Internet searches, international experiential learning, motivational strategies for students and teachers, creation of project-based learning and simulations, middle school business education, active learning strategies, advanced accounting education, reading strategies in business, building business education at the secondary level, and many more!

San Antonio Marriot Rivercenter and Riverwalk Hotel Room Rates for the 2008 NBEA Annual Convention are $149/single occupancy; $169/double occupancy.  Rates are subject to state and local taxes (currently 16.75% per room per night). There is an additional $20 charge (per room, per night) to have an extra person in your room.

Those booking rooms in the NBEA room block must be registered convention attendees or registered exhibitors. Rooms booked in the block without an accompanying convention registration will be subject to cancellation or rebooked at the hotel’s standard room rate.  Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability.

Accommodations and Registration Information.  The San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter and Riverwalk Hotels offer first-class service with Texas hospitality. Located on the famous San Antonio Riverwalk, both properties offer easy access to the Riverwalk, many of San Antonio's attractions such as The Alamo, as well as numerous dining and shopping opportunities.

Convention Registration Fees. The NBEA convention pre-registration fees are $190 for professional members, $120 for student members, $145 for retired members, $325 for nonmembers, and $75 for spouses (non-teaching; non-student only). For registrations received after February 27 or paid on-site, there is an additional fee of $50.
