Kansas State University and Fort Hays State University will offer credit to undergraduate and graduate students for participation in the NBEA 2008 Annual Convention.  Registration tables for both universities will be located near the NBEA convention registration desk at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter Hotel.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

1 hour of credit: Attend the opening general session on Wednesday; attend four sessions on Thursday; write a summary of these sessions; reflect how these have been beneficial to you; and tell how you will use them in your teaching. Name the specific class in which you will use this and identify the textbook or web site link you will use in creating a lesson plan.

2 hours of credit: Attend the opening general session on Wednesday; attend four sessions on Thursday; attend three sessions on Friday; attend the closing session on Saturday; write a summary of these sessions; reflect how these have been beneficial to you; and how you will use them in your teaching. Name the specific class in which you will use this and identify the textbook or web site link you will use in creating a lesson plan.

3 hours of credit: Attend the opening general session on Wednesday; attend four sessions on Thursday; attend three sessions on Friday; attend the closing session on Saturday; write a summary of these sessions; reflect how these have been beneficial to you; and tell how you will use them in your teaching. Plus, write an additional paper on a topic of your choice based on one of the sessions or workshops. An example: if you attended the workshop on Adobe InDesign, you could research instructions for doing things beyond what was covered in that workshop as well as ideas for projects to use in the classroom. Be sure to cite sources used.

Note: Attending the hands-on computer workshops could be substituted for some of the sessions as negotiated with the instructor.
