Position Available
Winona State University invites applications for an assistant professor of Business Education/Business Administration position beginning Fall 2012. The position is a fixed-term/nine month appointment.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses online and face-to-face in business education and business administration
- Provide leadership to the redesign of the WSU Business Education program in conjunction with business, education, and academic leaders from Minnesota and the University's Colleges of Education and Business
- Conduct scholarly activity and assume a leadership role in undergraduate curriculum development
- Teach in a distance education (online) environment
- Advise students

- Applicants must possess a Masters degree in Business Education or appropriate business field and have a minimum of three (3) years of executive or human resources experience.

Position Available
The successful applicant will have the following:
- Completed an undergraduate or graduate business teacher education program including student teaching
- Evidence of involvement and leadership positions in business education professional organizations
It is preferred that the successful applicant will have the following:
- At least three years of full-time experience teaching business education at K-12 levels, teaching experience at post-secondary level
- Knowledge and experience in teaching business teacher education (supervision of student teachers, instructional strategies and assessment), and two or more of the following areas: business communication and report writing, introduction to business, and training and development.
- A record or an agenda regarding scholarly activities
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations
Recommendation for hiring is needed by the majority of the regular, full-time department faculty on the Search and Screen Committee. Finalist(s) for the position must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and teaching demonstration judged by the Search and Screen faculty.
Qualifying Experience/Education
An earned doctorate in business, education, workforce education, or related discipline by August 1, 2012, will be considered.

Permanent, fulltime, tenure-track

Salary
Competitive salary commensurate with experience and per collective bargaining agreement.
