Think you need to be a computer scientist to build custom classroom games or interactive business simulations? Think again! Welcome to the world of "Vibe Coding." Vibe coding isn't about writing lines of confusing text; it’s about having a conversation with AI to instantly create the tools you’ve always wanted but didn't have the time (or budget) to build. Whether you want a custom "Shark Tank" points tracker, an interactive "Stock Market" simulator, or a digital "Escape Room" for your Accounting unit, vibe coding lets you describe it into existence.
In this beginner-friendly session, we’ll show you how to use simple "vibes" (plain English instructions) to:
- Gamify Your Lessons: Turn a dry PowerPoint into an interactive, clickable game in minutes. No more linked slides to create Jeopardy Boards - let AI do it for you!
- Create "Choose Your Own Adventure" Scenarios: Let students play through business ethics or customer service dilemmas.
- Build Instant Tools: Create custom calculators or "Business Name Generators" tailored specifically to your project.
No coding experience required. If you can send a text message, you can "vibe code" a more exciting classroom!

Kyleigh Lewis Kumm is a STEM educator extraordinaire. Her current role includes serving the Harlan Community School District as a technology coach and high school STEM teacher. She is passionate about sparking curiosity and igniting a love for STEM subjects in young minds. With 9 years of experience as a STEM teacher, business teacher, and instructional coach, she’s had the privilege of nurturing the next generation of innovators and problem solvers. Kyleigh’s academic journey, combined with her real-world experience in business and education, has equipped her with a deep understanding of the ability to convey complex concepts in an engaging and relatable way. As a lifelong learner, Kyleigh began her post-secondary education at Wayne State College with a BMIT endorsement. Since, she has completed her Master's in Curriculum and Instruction - Business Emphasis, her MBA, and an Educational Leadership Master's for 7-12.
Beyond the classroom, Kyleigh serves as a member of many organizations, including: NETA, ISTE, ITEC, CSTA, and NBEA. Kyleigh is enthusiastic about technology integration in the classroom, collaborating with like-minded individuals, and presenting real-world applications to her students. She is passionate about sharing computer science, and implemented a coding club using Google CS First and a FIRST robotics team. She serves as the Code.org Facilitator for CSD in Nebraska, and was the NETA "Excellence in Teaching with Technology" recipient in 2018. Her credentials include being a Google Certified Trainer, Apple Teacher, and Apple Learning Coach. Kyleigh has served the technology community as a board member.
