NBHS Virtual Events

Throughout the year, we host virtual events for both prospective and active chapters. Join an Informational Session to ask questions about the application process, or attend a New Chapter/Advisor Workshop for fresh ideas on running a successful NBHS chapter.

View a list of NBHS events and information sessions.

Can't make any of those dates? Watch our latest recorded informational session below for a comprehensive overview of the NBHS program and application process.

Starting a Chapter

  1. Review the Start-up Kit.
  2. Create your local chapter bylaws using the sample chapter bylaws as a starting point.
  3. Complete the charter application online.
  4. Pay the charter application fee and teacher membership fees. Once your application is submitted online, NBEA staff will email you regarding outstanding invoices for chapter and teacher membership.

In times when business education programs are closing due to funding cuts, an NBHS chapter is an ideal way to bring more life, promotion, and added value to your program.

Approval procedures are held twice per year. New charter applications must be received by October 1 or February 1. Please allow up to two months for review. If there are any discrepancies with your application, you will be notified, and all discrepancies must be resolved within 30 days or the application will not be approved.

Active Chapters: Resources

Annual Renewal

Active NBHS chapters and their affiliated business teachers must renew their memberships annually. You can renew in one of two ways:

  • Rapid Renewal Form — complete this form to request a single invoice that includes chapter dues and all teacher dues.
  • Individual Login — each teacher logs in to renew. The chapter advisor must renew both the chapter and their own individual membership. (Username and password required.)

Payment must be enclosed with the renewal invoice by October 1 of each renewal year. All business teachers at the chapter's school must be active, paid NBEA members. Purchase orders for renewal fees are not accepted.
