Rosemarie McCauley (pictured left), Floyd L., and Doris H. Crank were business education leaders. They each had a long history with NBEA and shared vision to help those seeking higher education. These individuals are now departed from us. However, along with other NBEA leaders and contributors, they are making this scholarship opportunity possible, and it is to them we dedicate this opportunity.

Scholarship Guidelines

The deadline for applications is June 15, 2026, at midnight ET. 

  1. Any professional member of the National Business Education Association
  2. Any educator from an institution hosting a National Business Honor Society Collegiate Chapter.

Q: Can I major in accounting, marketing or other business-related topic. Can I apply for the scholarship?
A: Yes, but only if you plan to use your accounting experience to teach in an educational setting.
Q: For what can I use the scholarship money?
A: Awards will be deposited directly into the student's school account for use on their education expenditures allowed through the school (tuition, room, board, books). Funds leftover in the school account may be used at the students' discretion.
Q: Can I fund my research with this scholarship?
A: No, this is an academic scholarship meant to aid students seeking a degree. CBTR is working on establishing additional scholarships for research initiatives.
Q: I need two recommendations for this scholarship. Who are eligible to write those recommendations?
A: Any teacher who is a member of NBEA or any educator at an institution hosting a National Business Honor Society Collegiate Chapter.
Q: Who decides who gets the scholarships?
A: A task force created by NBEA's Council for Business Teaching and Research of professional educators that have no conflict of interest.
Q: Can I fund my doctoral work through this scholarship?
A: Yes, the scholarship is for those seeking higher education in business education.
Q: Is there a required style for the essay?
A: The task force has not prescribed a particular writing style. However, the writing and articulation of goals will be a major factor in determining winners. The individuals judging scholarship applications will be seasoned academics. Whatever writing style is used should be consistent throughout the document. If one were to ask for a recommendation, APA 7th edition would be recommended.
