Notice: NABTE, ARBE, Delta Pi Epsilon, and the Association for Business Teaching and Research have consolidated. The work of these organizations is now carried on by NBEA and its Council for Business Teaching and Research.
About CBTR
The Council for Business Teaching and Research (CBTR) — formerly known as ABTR — serves primarily, but not exclusively, educators working at colleges and universities in business teacher education programs. CBTR is committed to excellence in the research and teaching of business education, and was formed through the merger of the Association for Research in Business Education (ARBE) and the National Association of Business Teacher Educators (NABTE).

CBTR affiliation is available as an add-on to NBEA Professional Membership for $60/year. Joining as a CBTR-affiliated individual member supports the Council's work, including the Journal of Research in Business Education, the Business Education Research Conference, and the National Business Honor Society-Collegiate.

Join NBEA with CBTR Affiliation
The Business Education Research Conference
CBTR members are eligible to participate in the Business Education Research Conference (BERC), held annually in conjunction with the NBEA Annual Convention. BERC showcases academic research in business and business-education-related topics, providing a venue for scholars to share their work, strengthen their academic credentials for promotion and tenure, and connect with peers across the field.
Presentation proposals are accepted each summer and fall.
Journal of Research in Business Education
The Journal of Research in Business Education (JRBE) is recognized by Cabell's, indexed in Google Scholar, and maintains a 30% acceptance rate. JRBE provides the rigor and reputation to bring serious business education research to thousands of educators and scholars.
