NBEA Launches New Technology Platforms to Improve Member Service
On August 2, NBEA began the soft launch of its new website and online community. These platforms provide easier logins, enhanced community features, optional automatic renewal and payment capabilities, improved school billing, and seamless connections among the NBEA website, community, and resource library.
Important Changes for Members
1. Your email address is now your username.
Usernames are no longer used. Sign in using your email address. The first time you log in, you will be prompted to create a new password.
2. Memberships are set to auto-renew by default.
Approximately 45 days before your membership expires, the system will generate a renewal invoice and email it to the billing contact on file.
Auto-renew is not auto-pay. It generates an invoice but does not charge a credit card or bank account. Schools and members may use the invoice to begin their purchase-order or payment process.
If you do not plan to renew, please contact NBEA. If an invoice has already been generated, staff can cancel it and discontinue the membership at the end of its current term.
If your school requires an invoice more than 45 days before expiration, contact our office. Staff can turn off auto-renew so you may initiate the renewal earlier.
3. Schools can manage multiple teachers under one account.
Most National Business Honor Society Chapter School memberships include individual members connected to the school’s account. Approximately 45 days before expiration, one renewal invoice covering the school’s participating teachers will be sent to the billing contact.
A new teacher can connect to a school by selecting the school from the drop-down menu while creating an account. During the joining process, the teacher may choose “Bill the School,” and an invoice will be sent to the school’s billing contact.
If your school has multiple teachers and would like to use one billing contact, please contact us. We can configure the account to simplify future renewals.
Your New NBEA Community Is Here
Connect with fellow business educators, exchange resources, share practical ideas, and participate in conversations related to the subjects you teach.
Log in to the NBEA website, open your Member Compass, and select Profile. Choose the topic communities matching your teaching areas and professional interests, and then save your selections.
NBEA will automatically connect you with the appropriate spaces in our new online community, powered by Circle. After your first community login, you will receive instructions for downloading the Circle app. Push notifications make it easier to follow important conversations without adding more email to your inbox.
We have even preloaded your communities based on the teaching interests previously shared with NBEA.
Participate, Earn Points, and Unlock Rewards
Your participation in the NBEA Community can earn recognition and rewards. You receive one point whenever another member likes one of your posts or comments.
As your contributions are recognized, you will advance through nine community levels—from New Connection to NBEA Luminary—and unlock rewards along the way.
Your experience matters. A classroom resource, helpful answer, or encouraging comment could be exactly what another business educator needs. This promotional campaign will continue through the fall, with rewards distributed monthly.

NBEA is seeking volunteer leaders for its 2026–2027 committees, councils, and topic task forces. Opportunities include new groups focused on artificial intelligence, personal finance, membership engagement, and other areas of business education.

Call for Proposals: 2027 National Business Education Conference
NBEA is accepting proposals for concurrent sessions and the Business Education Research Conference.
If you have innovative teaching strategies, practical ideas, research, or best practices to share, we encourage you to submit a proposal.
The 2027 conference theme is Building the Future of Business Education. We look forward to showcasing sessions that inspire, inform, and strengthen the profession.

The NBEA Lesson Plan Vault contains hundreds of consistent, standards-based lesson plans covering a wide range of business subjects. Each plan is aligned with the NBEA Business Education Standards, designed for use independently of a particular textbook or program, and developed by highly qualified educators.
